This morning the P on the IJdijk in Almere Poort was the place to collect for the first Charity ride in the history of the Amstel Chapter. As a HOG Chapter we adopted a good cause and for us it is ‘Spieren voor spieren’.
The Amstel Chapter ride outs are normally free with just a lunch fee. For this day, an extra amount was requested, including lunch, beer & ‘bitterballen’ at the end of the trip and a contribution to our charity. Would this work? Yes absolutely! No fewer than 35 people participated in this Charity ride.
With all our Harley Davidsons together we made a string of more than 300 meters. This requires good organization and guidance. Fortunately there were no less than 7 Road Captains. They have created an awsome ride from Almere to Lelystad, over the dike towards our first stop “the Station”. Here we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Stop two was in the ‘Midden Beemster’. Also a beautiful place, where our Harley’s were well appreciated. After this we drove further through the beautiful landscape to our final destination, Café Deli in Diemen Noord. The Amstel Chapter uses this place more often. Easily accessible for everyone, right next to the highway, easy to park, and manager Wessel thinks it is wonderful when we are there.
Here we made the group photo and had a drink & ‘bitterballen’ to enjoy the end of an awesome trip.
